Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies, socio-economic trends, and disruptive forces impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop scenario-based strategic roadmaps for C-suite decision-making with quantified impact projections
- Architect innovation pipelines integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence opportunities
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-proof solutions addressing climate resilience, human augmentation, and ethical AI governance
- Present foresight frameworks to investors and board members securing $50M+ annual innovation budgets
- Mentor futurist apprentices while publishing thought leadership in top-tier industry journals
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy consulting, R&D leadership, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Published author or keynote speaker at Davos, SXSW, or equivalent global forums
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Fluency in strategic foresight frameworks (e.g., causal layered analysis, scenario planning)
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Innovation Management preferred
