Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify and quantify emerging trends across AI, biotech, climate tech, and quantum computing
- Develop 5-10 year strategic scenarios and innovation roadmaps for executive decision-making
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into product development and market entry strategies
- Establish KPI frameworks to track technological adoption curves and competitive disruption signals
- Author thought leadership publications and deliver keynote presentations at global innovation forums
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of academic, governmental, and industry futurist networks
- Advise on long-term portfolio positioning and M&A opportunities in high-growth sectors
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD/Master's) in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Systems Theory, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in innovation strategy, trend analysis, or technology consulting
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products or services
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and horizon scanning frameworks
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional data visualization and storytelling capabilities for complex concepts
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/FS) or equivalent professional development
- Portfolio demonstrating published futures research or strategic foresight projects
