Responsibilities
- Develop and implement horizon-scanning frameworks to identify disruptive technologies and market trends with 5-10 year impact
- Produce strategic foresight reports and scenario-planning models for executive decision-making
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to integrate future-proofing principles into product development and operational strategies
- Establish thought leadership through whitepapers, keynote presentations, and industry roundtables
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, scientists, and policy influencers
- Quantify strategic opportunities through risk-adjusted ROI modeling and market simulations
- Mentor junior strategists in advanced forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field with 8+ years of strategic foresight experience
- Proven track record of successfully predicting and commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology) and their societal implications
- Exceptional executive communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., from the Association of Professional Futurists)
- Experience advising C-suite executives in Fortune 500 or unicorn-scale organizations
