The Role
As the Weekend Operations Lead, you will be the point of contact for all operational activities during your shift. You will supervise a team of 15-20 associates, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and safely.
Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily workflow, ensuring all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately within SLA.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse associates to maintain high morale and productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct regular safety audits, enforce OSHA standards, and ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, reconcile daily counts, and coordinate with the logistics team for restocking.
- Performance Metrics: Analyze shift data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Issue Resolution: Handle customer inquiries and resolve operational issues immediately to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Prepare and submit daily shift reports and productivity metrics to management.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading teams or acting as a shift supervisor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced setting.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS) or similar tools.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) and occasional holidays.
