Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all warehouse activities during the weekend shift, ensuring productivity targets are met and operational standards are maintained.
- Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and schedule a team of warehouse associates to ensure optimal workflow and high morale.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory accuracy through cycle counting, and oversee the receiving and shipping processes.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move stock safely and efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and conduct daily safety audits to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Problem Solving: Identify bottlenecks in the workflow and implement immediate solutions to keep operations on schedule.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of warehouse experience, with at least 6 months in a supervisory or lead capacity.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification is highly preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer software.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead briefings and report to management.
