Responsibilities
- Freight Handling: Safely load, unload, and sort merchandise using various material handling equipment.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders to meet daily fulfillment targets.
- Equipment Operation: Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (after certification), and conveyor systems as required.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies immediately to supervisors.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient workflow during peak times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Reliability: A strong track record of attendance and punctuality is essential.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; on-the-job training provided for qualified candidates.
- Communication: Basic English skills for reading labels, following safety instructions, and communicating with supervisors.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional holidays.
- Driving: Valid driver's license is a plus but not mandatory for this specific position.
