Responsibilities
- Lead the Team: Supervise and mentor a team of warehouse associates during weekend shifts to ensure productivity targets are met.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and conduct daily safety briefings to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock accuracy, cycle counts, and manage incoming/outgoing shipments efficiently.
- Equipment Handling: Monitor forklift and pallet jack operations, ensuring all machinery is maintained and operated correctly.
- Problem Solving: Address operational bottlenecks and resolve customer service issues that arise during the weekend rush.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit daily shift reports, including productivity metrics and incident logs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- License: Valid Forklift Operator License (CDL preferred but not always required).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead a diverse team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
