Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support including patient intake, vital signs measurement, and specimen collection
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical preparations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinic efficiency during weekend shifts
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment according to protocols
- Deliver patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Strong bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Flexibility to cover occasional holiday shifts
