Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Take patient vital signs and medical histories
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Schedule patient appointments and handle patient communications
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with weekend shifts
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Valid CPR certification
