Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care across departments during weekend operations
- Resolve billing inquiries and insurance verification
- Facilitate patient discharge planning and follow-up
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and specialists
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Train weekend staff on patient protocols
- Address patient concerns with empathy and urgency
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare or related field
- 2+ years patient advocacy experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend shifts
- Certified Patient Advocate (CPA) preferred
