Job Summary
The Weekend Operations Supervisor is responsible for the seamless execution of daily logistics operations during Saturday and Sunday shifts. This role ensures that all inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment for the team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the weekend workforce to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee the loading and unloading of trucks to minimize damage and loss.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a hazard-free environment for all employees.
- Conduct daily briefings and performance reviews to motivate staff and address operational challenges immediately.
- Manage customer inquiries and resolve service issues escalated during the weekend shift.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments and update status reports.
- Train new hires on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or retail management.
- Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays consistently.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct a team under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
