Responsibilities
- Oversee weekend and overnight patient care operations across multiple departments
- Coordinate staff assignments and ensure optimal coverage during off-peak hours
- Respond to urgent patient needs and medical emergencies with decisive action
- Implement and maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation protocols
- Conduct shift handovers with precision and clarity to maintain continuity of care
- Maintain inventory of critical supplies and equipment during off-hours
- Mentor new staff on night shift protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years healthcare experience with proven night shift competency
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or EMT certification required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend/night hours
- Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs during off-peak hours
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
