Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care during weekend night shifts (Saturday/Sunday, 7 PM - 7 AM)
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergency situations
- Document patient assessments and care activities in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in weekend shift handovers and patient care planning
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Previous weekend/night shift experience preferred
- BSN degree preferred
