Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care and administrative support during weekend shifts
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Accurately document patient information and maintain electronic health records
- Manage inventory and restock medical supplies
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up appointments
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification or relevant healthcare experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Valid Louisiana healthcare provider license
- Flexible availability for Saturday/Sunday shifts
