Responsibilities
- Oversee Weekend Operations: Manage daily logistics functions, including receiving, inventory control, and dispatching, ensuring all processes run smoothly.
- Coordinate Shipment Schedules: Plan and schedule inbound and outbound freight to meet customer deadlines and optimize warehouse space.
- Inventory Management: Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a small team of warehouse staff during weekend shifts, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damage and accuracy, resolving any issues immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, logs, and digital reports related to weekend operations.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations to create a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday (40 hours/week) plus occasional overtime during peak seasons.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate forklifts or pallet jacks.
