Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to diverse patient populations in our emergency department
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient assessments and care plans in Epic EMR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and HIPAA regulations
- Respond effectively to emergency situations using ACLS protocols
- Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (ER preferred)
- ACLS/BLS certifications (current)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
- Spanish bilingual skills highly valued
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes
