We are seeking a visionary Senior Project Manager to lead critical operations for the historic 2026 FIFA World Cup. As the host nation, the United States is preparing for a global spectacle, and we need a leader who thrives in high-pressure environments to ensure seamless execution across our venues.
About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex logistical workflows, coordinate between international stakeholders, and ensure all projects align with FIFA’s stringent standards. You will be the bridge between technical vendors and executive leadership, driving projects from conception to completion on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for stadium infrastructure upgrades and fan zone activations in Los Angeles.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, security consultants, and international logistics partners.
- Develop and maintain detailed Gantt charts and risk mitigation strategies for high-stakes events.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and international regulations governing major sporting events.
- Coordinate with FIFA officials and local government bodies to facilitate seamless venue handovers.
- Monitor budget performance and report on KPIs to the Executive Steering Committee.
- Facilitate crisis management protocols and rapid response teams during pre-game and game-day operations.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in project management, specifically within large-scale events, construction, or sports management.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar certification is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of managing budgets exceeding $5M.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required for this international role.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel to various host cities and work irregular hours during event phases.
- Demonstrated experience working with government contracts and international regulatory bodies.
