Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain medical equipment during night/weekend shifts
- Provide immediate technical support for critical healthcare systems
- Document service logs and maintain accurate equipment databases
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and nursing staff during emergencies
- Conduct preventive maintenance on diagnostic and monitoring devices
- Train weekend staff on new technology protocols and safety procedures
- Coordinate with vendors for urgent equipment repairs or replacements
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Biomedical Technology or related field required
- 2+ years experience in hospital equipment maintenance or health tech support
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to work independently during off-peak hours
- Strong problem-solving skills under pressure
- Flexibility to work variable weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic understanding of HIPAA compliance protocols
