Responsibilities
- Perform patient vital signs and prepare exam rooms for overnight procedures
- Assist physicians with diagnostic tests and minor medical procedures
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Triage patient calls and respond to after-hours emergencies
- Coordinate with night nursing staff for seamless patient care transitions
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital/urgent care setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Basic ECG and phlebotomy skills required
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
