Job Summary
The Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate processing of all inbound and outbound shipments during the night hours. You will be the point of contact for the night crew, ensuring productivity targets are met while maintaining a zero-accident safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the night shift team, including staffing, workflow, and productivity tracking.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and conduct nightly safety inspections of the warehouse floor.
- Manage inventory accuracy by supervising receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Resolve operational issues and address employee concerns immediately to maintain workflow continuity.
- Train new hires on equipment operation (forklifts, pallet jacks) and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on operational metrics, including accuracy rates and throughput.
- Collaborate with the Day Shift Manager to ensure seamless handover of duties.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred, with strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts and nights (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Forklift certification and prior experience with warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Physically able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
