Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage and supervise all nightly warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Shift Leadership: Lead a team of associates during the Saturday and Sunday night shift, providing clear direction and support to maximize productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols (OSHA standards) to maintain a zero-accident environment and conduct nightly safety briefings.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, oversee stock rotation, and manage discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Quality Control: Perform random audits of orders and inventory to maintain high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
- Staff Coordination: Assist in the scheduling and training of warehouse staff, addressing any performance issues or concerns immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and warehouse equipment to ensure all machinery is in optimal working condition.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday nights (e.g., 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members and management.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Training: Forklift certification (CDL preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate).
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively during high-volume periods.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependability in previous roles.
