Responsibilities
- Monitor premises and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity
- Conduct regular foot patrols of assigned properties
- Respond promptly to alarms and security incidents
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs
- Provide courteous assistance to visitors and tenants
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Operate security equipment (access control, CCTV, radios)
- Enforce property access policies and visitor protocols
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old with valid state ID
- No prior experience required – full training provided
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods during shifts
- Strong observational attention to detail
- Basic written communication skills for report writing
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation to/from downtown Chicago
- Flexibility to work weekends (Friday/Saturday nights)
