Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist patients with daily activities including mobility and hygiene
- Perform EKGs and phlebotomy procedures per protocol
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in electronic health records
- Respond to emergency situations following established protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care
- Ensure patient rooms are sanitized and stocked with supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 6 months healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours per shift
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Valid Minnesota nursing assistant license preferred
