Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake and discharge processes during overnight shifts
- Coordinate care plans with physicians and nursing staff
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Respond to patient inquiries and emergency situations
- Prepare and administer medications under provider supervision
- Schedule diagnostic tests and coordinate specialist referrals
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Excellent communication and crisis management skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
