Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and document observations in electronic health records
- Assist patients with personal care, mobility, and medication administration
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations per protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless care transitions
- Maintain clean, organized patient environments and supply inventory
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during overnight hours
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA and infection control standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or medical assistant certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year healthcare or senior care experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification (training provided if needed)
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Valid California driver's license if transporting patients
- Background clearance and TB test required
