This hybrid role combines strategic foresight with hands-on implementation, requiring you to identify paradigm-shifting opportunities, develop pilot programs for quantum computing and AI ethics frameworks, and secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions. You'll report directly to our Chief Innovation Officer and drive our mission to build a sustainable tech future.
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology roadmap, integrating quantum computing, neural interfaces, and sustainable AI systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions with 6-month MVP cycles
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and global research institutions
- Develop ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and biotech innovations
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D funding through investor pitches and government grants
- Present visionary blueprints to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Mentor junior futurists and build the next-gen innovation pipeline
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership, with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record launching quantum/AI initiatives with measurable impact
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in ethical AI frameworks and sustainable technology lifecycle design
- Exceptional stakeholder management across technical, executive, and investor domains
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Nature or similar journals
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
- Validated ability to secure $1M+ in innovation grants
