Responsibilities
- Architect and execute 2026 innovation roadmaps across quantum computing, synthetic biology, and neurotech domains
- Lead cross-functional teams of PhD researchers, engineers, and designers to prototype next-gen solutions
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, etc.) and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and Board of Directors for funding allocation
- Oversee patent strategy and intellectual property portfolio development for future-tech assets
- Drive ethical innovation frameworks ensuring responsible development of transformative technologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD/Master's) in Futurism, Systems Engineering, or related quantitative field
- Minimum 7 years experience in innovation strategy, R&D management, or future-tech commercialization
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough technologies with $10M+ market impact
- Expertise in scenario planning, technology forecasting, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neurotech ecosystems
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) or equivalent strategic foresight training
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex future concepts to diverse stakeholders
