Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse operations during weekend shifts, ensuring efficient loading/unloading of freight
- Manage team of 8-12 warehouse associates, assigning tasks and maintaining productivity standards
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain OSHA compliance
- Coordinate inventory management activities including cycle counts and stock audits
- Optimize workflow processes to meet weekend delivery deadlines
- Train and mentor new associates on equipment operation and company procedures
- Generate performance reports and recommend operational improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years warehouse management experience with weekend shift exposure
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training credentials
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software
- Forklift certification and ability to operate heavy machinery
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to make quick decisions
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
