Responsibilities
- Synchronize patient care coordination across all departments during weekend operations
- Manage patient scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification processes
- Serve as primary point of contact for weekend patient inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and specialists to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation systems
- Coordinate weekend admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Implement quality improvement initiatives for weekend care delivery
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in patient care coordination or medical office management
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
- Valid Kentucky healthcare professional license
- Availability for consistent weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday)
