Responsibilities
- Plan and execute weekend events at premier San Antonio venues including the Pearl District and Historic Market Square
- Coordinate vendor relationships, logistics, and on-site operations for 15+ weekend events monthly
- Manage client communications and ensure alignment with event vision and budget requirements
- Lead event setup, teardown, and troubleshooting during weekend operations
- Train and supervise part-time weekend staff to maintain service excellence
- Implement post-event evaluations and continuous improvement strategies
- Collaborate with marketing team to promote weekend events through digital channels
Qualifications
- 3+ years of event coordination experience with weekend/holiday availability
- Proven expertise managing high-volume events (50+ attendees)
- Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities under pressure
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in event management software (Cvent, Eventbrite)
- Knowledge of San Antonio's event venues and local regulations
