Responsibilities
- Monitor premises via CCTV and patrols to prevent unauthorized access and security breaches
- Respond promptly to guest emergencies, disturbances, and alarm activations
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs
- Enforce hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents
- Conduct access control for guests, staff, and deliveries during overnight hours
- Provide assistance to guests with safety concerns or wayfinding
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New York State Security Guard License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during high-stress situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and respond to emergencies
- Availability for Friday-Sunday shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
