Responsibilities
- Design and implement autonomous driving control systems using ROS and Python/C++
- Develop real-time perception algorithms for LiDAR, radar, and camera sensor fusion
- Create simulation environments for testing autonomous navigation in complex scenarios
- Optimize vehicle dynamics models for safety-critical autonomous operations
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate machine learning models into decision-making systems
- Validate system performance through rigorous testing and validation protocols
- Document technical specifications and contribute to patent applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Engineering, or related field (MS/PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in autonomous systems or embedded software development
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and real-time operating systems
- Expertise in sensor fusion and perception algorithms (SLAM, object detection)
- Experience with autonomous vehicle simulation platforms (CARLA, NVIDIA DriveSim)
- Strong understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety standards
- Published research in autonomous systems or related conferences a plus
