Our Austin-based innovation hub offers unparalleled resources for R&D, including dedicated quantum computing labs and a $50M annual innovation fund. This position reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and requires 30% travel to our global innovation centers.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement 2026-prepared technology roadmaps focusing on AI ethics, quantum computing integration, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing scalable frameworks for decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs)
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging threats/opportunities in biotech, metaverse infrastructure, and space tech
- Develop governance protocols for AGI alignment and quantum-resistant cybersecurity
- Mentor innovation fellows in next-gen tech commercialization strategies
- Partner with C-suite to align 2026 initiatives with ESG and UN SDG targets
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation with proven experience in future-casting methodologies
- Expertise in quantum computing, AI governance, or sustainable tech ecosystems
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership on 2020s technology disruption (e.g., Nature Futures, MIT Tech Review)
- Experience leading $10M+ innovation initiatives with measurable ROI
- Certification in Foresight Methodologies (e.g., from Association of Professional Futurists)
- Deep network of contacts in DARPA, WEF, and top-tier VC firms
