Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+
- Develop and maintain strategic innovation roadmaps with 18-24 month predictive frameworks
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and policy teams
- Author forward-looking white papers and scenario-planning documents
- Partner with venture capital arm to scout and incubate next-gen startups
- Represent company at global futurist forums (Davos, World Future Society)
- Mentor junior innovation strategists using proprietary foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in innovation strategy, trend analysis, or corporate futurism
- Published author in peer-reviewed foresight journals or industry white papers
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and horizon scanning tools
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial innovation
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful 2020s innovation initiatives
