Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun) with weekday availability for critical handoffs
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per established protocols
- Monitor patient vitals and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Mentor junior staff and uphold quality standards during weekend coverage
- Participate in weekend shift huddles and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN preferred; associate degree candidates with 3+ years experience considered
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in weekend shift environments
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment
- Electronic health record proficiency (EPIC experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently during weekend coverage
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
