Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in oncology and critical care units during weekend shifts
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient assessments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated treatment plans
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and post-discharge care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Participate in weekend shift handovers and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (BRN) required
- BSN degree with 2+ years acute care experience
- Oncology or ICU certification preferred
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
