Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care assistance during weekend shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Monitor patient vital signs and document observations in electronic health records
- Assist patients with daily living activities including mobility, hygiene, and nutrition
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Participate in weekend shift handovers and team huddles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- CNA certification preferred but not required (training provided)
- Previous healthcare experience or strong customer service background
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn medical documentation systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Availability for consistent weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
