Responsibilities
- Patrol the premises: Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Access Control: Monitor and control access at building entrances and exits, verifying credentials of visitors and issuing passes as required.
- Incident Reporting: Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, responding immediately and accurately to any irregularities or emergencies.
- Customer Service: Assist visitors and employees with directions, provide information, and resolve minor inquiries professionally.
- Emergency Response: Respond to fire, medical, or security alarms according to established emergency protocols.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in security, hospitality, or law enforcement preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts and nights consistently.
- Valid Certification: Current State Security License (e.g., District of Columbia Security Guard License) is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and monitor areas for extended periods; must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
