Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Monitor and document patient conditions using electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and procedures
- Maintain strict compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations
- Participate in weekend staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ACLS/PALS preferred for critical care areas
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs
