Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care during weekend and overnight shifts in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems with strict HIPAA compliance
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory
- Handle patient scheduling, billing inquiries, and insurance verification
- Respond to after-hours patient calls with clinical triage support
Qualifications
- Current Florida Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
