Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests during night shifts
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and treatment progress
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain medical supplies inventory
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Provide patient education and emotional support during high-stress nighttime scenarios
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
Qualifications
- Current New York State Medical Assistant certification or CMA/RMA credential
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in emergency or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification with ability to obtain ACLS within 90 days
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for night-shift patient interactions
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
- Flexibility to work alternating weekends (Sat/Sun shifts 11PM-7AM)
