Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during weekend night shifts, including vital signs assessment and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterilized and ready for use
- Accurately document patient information and medical histories in electronic health records systems
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations during overnight patient visits
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up communications for weekend appointments
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic safety protocols
- Manage inventory and restock medical supplies during low-traffic night hours
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Availability to work every weekend (Saturday/Sunday) 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control procedures
- Excellent communication skills with ability to remain calm during emergency situations
- Basic ECG and phlebotomy certification preferred
- Tennessee state BLS certification required
