Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care
- Document patient records accurately and maintain confidential health information
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and clinical competence
- Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and reporting
- Participate in continuous training to maintain clinical certifications
Qualifications
- Current Texas Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience in hospital, clinic, or long-term care setting
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during evening/weekend shifts
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact compassionately with patients and families
- Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and department priorities
- Pass background check and drug screening
