Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive clinical laboratory tests including hematology, chemistry, and microbiology
- Analyze specimens with precision and maintain strict quality control standards
- Operate and calibrate advanced laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Document test results accurately in electronic health records system
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient diagnosis
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and laboratory safety protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Valid NC Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
- Proficiency in LIS/HIS systems and laboratory automation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing protocols
