Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital sign measurements, and preliminary assessments
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries
- Administer medications and injections as per physician protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Phlebotomy and ECG certification preferred
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or similar)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays (6 AM - 6 PM)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
