Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures, including patient preparation, specimen collection, and basic laboratory testing
- Perform vital signs measurements, EKGs, and phlebotomy services
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure sterile environments
- Coordinate patient flow and manage appointment schedules
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree from accredited program
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced weekend environment
