Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital sign checks, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation accurately
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain clean examination areas
- Handle administrative duties including appointment scheduling and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Attention to detail in documentation and patient safety protocols
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 7am-3pm)
