Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Handle electronic health records documentation accurately
- Coordinate patient education materials and discharge instructions
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and medical equipment
- Support telehealth initiatives for weekend patient consultations
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Flexibility to cover occasional holiday shifts
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
