Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive 2026 technology roadmaps across AI, quantum computing, and biotech sectors
- Lead scenario planning workshops to identify disruptive opportunities and mitigate future risks
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align future innovations with business objectives
- Author forward-looking white papers and thought leadership publications
- Manage a portfolio of speculative R&D projects with 3-5 year horizons
- Mentor junior futurists and foster cross-disciplinary innovation
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry pioneers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years in strategic foresight, R&D leadership, or emerging technology
- Proven track record of successfully forecasting tech trends (provide 3+ case studies)
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex futures into actionable strategies
- Experience with futures simulation tools and data visualization platforms
- Portfolio demonstrating published future-focused research or innovation frameworks
