Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (BP, temp, oxygen levels) every 2 hours
- Assist patients with mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities
- Collect and process lab specimens accurately and efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and supply stations
- Operate medical equipment including EKG machines and infusion pumps
- Document patient observations and care activities in electronic health records
- Respond to patient call bells within 3 minutes during night shifts
- Collaborate with RNs and physicians during emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Virginia CNA or PCT certification mandatory
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- Availability for every weekend shift (Fri-Sat 7pm-7am)
